IMPORTANT NOTE! If you have already signed up for either the half or full marathons and want to upgrade to the  “Clam Chowdah Challenge” (assuming it has not filled), e-mail the Race Administrator at info@capecodmarathon.com for instructions.

Basic Rules

The field will be limited to the first 100 clam chowdah challengers who enter. Runners entering the both races should be well enough trained to complete the half course in three hours and the full course in six hours. After 10:30 am on Saturday, the course will be closed, and runners who finish after that time may not be scored. The course closure times are: half marathon on Saturday — after 10:30 am and marathon on Sunday — after 2:30 pm. Runners who finish after those times may not be timed. Marathon entrants must be 16 years of age or older on race day. You will receive two bib numbers and The “ChronoTrack B-Tag” system will be used for timing and scoring.

REFUND/DEFERRAL POLICY:
The Cape Cod Marathon, Half & Relay(including Chowdah Challenge) does not refund registration fees under ANY circumstances.
However, if you have registered for the marathon or half (including Chowdah Challenge and not applicable to relay teams) individually but find you are unable to participate you may choose to defer your entry to 2017 in accordance with our deferral policy.
Please read the deferral policy details below:
Marathon/Half deferrals are allowed from the date of registration through September 10, 2017. Absolutely NO deferrals will be allowed after September 10, 2017. Once a Marathon/Half deferral is requested, the decision is final. The Marathon/Half deferral is good for one year only. An entrant with a Marathon/Half deferral will be discounted 40% for the 2018 race; the 2017 registration fee is NOT refunded.
Liability Waiver:
I hereby release the Falmouth Track Club, which organizes the events, all race officials and volunteers, the Town of Falmouth, all sponsors, USA Track & Field and all other person(s), organizations, or vendors connected with the race from any claim of damage or injury from my participation in or traveling to and from the events of the 40th Annual Cape Cod Marathon Running Weekend to include the Relay, Half Marathon, Marathon, and the Clam Chowdah Challenge on Saturday-Sunday, October 28-29, 2017. If I choose to run the full and/or the half marathon, I attest that I will be properly trained to complete the full marathon within the six-hour time limit and/or the half marathon in the three hour time limit. I also give my permission to use my likeness and publish my name in the news media. I understand that for safety reasons the use of personal electronic devices such as portable music players during the race is a safety risk. If I choose to use portable electronic devices, I accept full liability and responsibility for any injuries to me or other participants in the event and for property damage caused by my use of these devices. I also acknowledge and agree that the entry fee is non-refundable, even if the race is cancelled due to reasons beyond the control of the Organizers, such as, but not limited to, weather, public safety or any other situations that prevent the event from occurring safely.
